Christians seeking a network marketing program don't have to compromise their Biblical principles to succeed. Online faith-based networks abound to help. Some of these programs have even been endorsed by prominent and highly visible Christians. Many offer expert training and business advice which are valuable resources for Christians wishing to tap into an expanding online market. Some market reports estimate that more than 55 percent of Americans have made an online purchase. As a result, networks have grown exponentially since the turn of the century. Many online analysts consider it to be one of the quickest ways to make money online. Although different in style and approach, most programs can be broken down to the same basic components. But succeeding in a network marketing program may not be as easy as it first appears. Marketing efforts target people who will quite often be skeptical of the salesperson, product, or service. Consider the difficult and dangerous job early followers of Christianity had in convincing people of the truth about Christ. "And to him they agreed: and when they had called the apostles, and beaten them, they commanded that they should not speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. And they departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for his name." (Acts 5:40-41) The apostles had a plan, self confidence, and perseverance. Possess those characteristics and success can be found. Perhaps one of the more difficult things a person can do aside from making money is convincing people to part with theirs. With that said, any network marketing program that attracts people with the promise of easy money will have hidden dangers lurking everywhere. Eventually, these dangers will be revealed. Reports indicate that more than 70 percent of those who enter the marketing field have had a negative experience and are no longer working in the industry, which reported more than $29 billion in sales in 2003.


A faith-based network marketing program model should be built on a firm foundation with longevity and strong organization. Adequate capital is needed to keep the company solvent for a long time. The Bible says that anyone who sets out to build a tower and lays the foundation should determine if there is enough money to finish. Strong organization from the foundation on up is an indication that the company has been around long enough to develop a network marketing program that works. Also, well established companies are a safer bet than a fledgling company. New companies may sell trendy products or services that are interesting but have no real use in practical everyday living and easily fade away into obscurity once the novelty of the item wears off. However, new and fresh ideas do work. People have made a fortune off of novel ideas. But there has to be a genuine need for unique products for them to succeed.


Do the research before deciding to join any networking group. Know the product or service, and make sure the program is highly visible to customers. Successful network marketing programs create new methods of building a strong customer base, and to sell them products and services through the implementation and use of both new and old technology. Online sales and promotion are always expanding. New technology and systems allow marketers to reach larger markets quicker, but some of the old methods are still a mainstay of a network marketing program. Online advertisements should be a staple of networking program. But, making a product visible through print ads, television, and radio are excellent ways to increase visibility. Snail mail and email newsletters are useful tools as well. Metatagging and Viral Marketing have become popular also.


Associate only with a marketing program that takes positive steps to attract and retain competent salespeople. Marketing is a person-centered business, so build strong relationships with other distributors, managers, and customers. Strong people skills will immediately give any marketer a competitive advantage. Successful distributers must be flexible, creative, and problem solvers. Those who lack people skills might want to consider attending training or seminars that focus on building strong interpersonal skills because it will be only a matter of time before a problem arises with a customer, manager, or another distributor. Disgruntled customers will not only take their business elsewhere but will also share their woeful story of dissatisfaction with anybody who will listen.


Initial research of a network marketing program should reveal its purpose. If it's a get-rich-quick or pyramid scheme stay away from it. Even if the program doesn't guarantee riches, those looking at a networking business should know whether or not there will be enough monetary return at the onset of the venture to sustain them until the profits start rolling. Many programs lure prospective distributors with promises of riches earned while working part time. Part of the research process should include a time to determine the purpose for getting into the business in the first place. It might be to simply make a little extra cash to buy something nice. On the other hand, extra money may be needed to make sure the bills get paid or to put enough food on the table. But no matter what the reasons for starting a new business venture are research the company thoroughly enough to determine how profitable it can be. With some companies the potential to increase profits can be unlimited. Others will have obvious limits. Either way, determine if there will be enough cash flow to satisfy the purpose for taking on the work in the first place.
